WHY SHOULD I AVOID PAYING UPFRONT FEES?
If you decide not to list with us, we understand. However, please be very cautious of the websites/companies that want an upfront fee. They will always tell you your timeshare is worth more than it is just to get the money upfront. Often they will tell you it's for an appraisal, good faith deposit or even closing costs. They even go as far as having seemingly legit buyers call you and send legal looking contracts. Most times, this is a scam. Avoid scams by avoiding anyone requesting upfront fees!
See our “Avoiding Scams” page for a list of red flags and a long list of the most common scams.
If you have been scammed, please file a complaint with the appropriate Attorney General to help catch the scam artists. See our scams page for details and a list of where to file complaints.
